Senior High Youth Group
There is NO senior youth group this Sunday, March 7, because of the Lock-in this weekend. Enjoy your Sunday night.
2009 Confirmation Class
For this Sunday, March 7, you need to have completed mentor/youth TalkPoint #8, and continue to keep up with your journal. All 30 Hour Famine collections must be turned in to D.C..
Middle School Youth Group
There is NO middle school youth group this week. All 6th-8th youth are encouraged to attend the Baltimore Blast game and Hawk Nelson concert. See D.C. THIS SUNDAY, March 7, to order your ticket.
Christian Youth Night
Christian Youth Night with the Baltimore Blast will take place on Friday, March 12. For one low price of $16 per ticket you can see an exciting indoor soccer game featuring the defending league champion Baltimore Blast, followed by a post-game concert featuring Hawk Nelson. Reserve your spot by getting your payment to D.C. THIS SUNDAY, March 7. Youth and adults going to the game should meet at Glen Mar at 6:15 PM this Friday.
Mission Training #1
All youth and adults participating in ANY of the summer youth mission trips are required to attend our first mission team training session this Saturday, March 13, from 9:15 AM – 12:00 noon in the Spirit Center. We will be meeting other people going on the mission trips, learning what God thinks about serving others, and hearing about some of the specifics for each of the trips. These training sessions are critical for individual preparation and team unity, so we expect all participants to attend.
Youth Mission Trips
Youth currently in the 8th grade and older are eligible to go on a senior high mission trip this summer. Hurley Select is for current 12th graders and collegians the week of May 30-June 5, $310/person. Big Hurley is for 8th grade and older the week of June 27-July 3, $310/person. Jacksonville is for 9th grade and older the week of July 18-24, $250/person. Costs include all housing, meals, materials and a T-shirt. Reserve your spot by getting a deposit of $50 payable to Glen Mar to D.C.. There will also be a trip to the Bahamas, July 25-31 with costs announced soon. We need adults interested in participating in all of these trips as well. See D.C. for more info.

30 Hour Famine
55 members of the Glen Mar youth group participated in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine last weekend in support of the 25,000 children around the world that die of hunger or hunger-related conditions each day. They are raising money to help meet the needs of the hungry and impoverished in the world. Please help us save a life. Donations payable to “World Vision” can be made to any youth in confirmation class or to D.C.
Youth Group Sub Sale
The “Better Late Than Never” sub sale is taking place THIS SUNDAY, March 7. All original orders will be honored and additional subs are available for $5 each. Pre-ordered subs are available for pickup on the lower level. Extra subs can be purchased in the Gathering Place. All proceeds support youth ministry activities.
